This policy describes how AI Camera - Music Reader handles information. It does not cover other GrepAwk products (for example FinalCap or ProTune AI Camera).
Sheet-music recognition and playback run entirely on your device. Your photos and scores are never uploaded. The app has no account or sign-in. The app does send anonymous usage events to our servers to improve the product, and processes in-app subscriptions through Apple.
The app uses the camera, or a photo you choose from your library, only to read the sheet music in that image. The image is processed on your device by machine-learning models bundled with the app. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party. Scans, MIDI files, and titles the app creates are saved only on your device. Deleting a scan or the app removes them.
The app posts anonymous event telemetry to https://photo.grepawk.com/api/telemetry (first-party). Events are: session start and app open (with the app version), scan start, success and failure (with a non-sensitive error type), reaching the free daily scan limit, paywall shown, plan selected, and purchase start, success and failure. Each event includes an anonymous id and session id stored in on-device preferences, plus non-sensitive props such as app version or error type. We do not send photos, MIDI, audio, email, phone numbers, precise location, or account credentials.
Music Reader Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase. Without Pro the app allows 5 page scans per day; Pro unlocks unlimited scans. Apple processes payment. We store an on-device entitlement flag so Pro features (unlimited scans) work offline. We may record anonymous purchase-funnel events (product id, success/fail) in the telemetry above. We do not receive your full payment card details.
There is no account or sign-in. The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
If you opt in to sharing diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us. We use them only to fix bugs.
When you test a beta build through TestFlight, Apple shares the feedback and crash information you choose to send, as described in Apple’s TestFlight terms.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Anonymous telemetry may still fire on any device that runs the app.
